Solar system investment was decided as the most environmentally beneficial step toward our goal of carbon neutral operations. The new system has enabled DSI to generate over 75% of its own electricity requirements, while reducing our upstream carbon creation. With a minimum 25-year life span, the system will continue reducing our carbon footprint long into the future.

DSI continues to investigate further energy reduction plans, including movement, natural light sensing lighting systems and other energy conserving projects.

To date, the solar system has benefitted the environment by reducing over 100 tons of CO2 emissions or the equivalent of planting over 2,000 trees. Visit our About page to view our latest cumulative data.
